Granville Island Outdoor Milonga - Sunday August 12!

This is a FREE outdoor milonga located in the picnic shed next to Cat's Social House Restaurant and Childrens' Waterpark.

As this is the last GIOM for this summer we request if possible, for you to bring some fruit or savory dish to share. There is no refrigeration so please be careful of the foods you are bringing. Thank you.

Please park responsibly or take other forms of transportation.
As the floor is concrete, please wear shoes that are slightly padded and will still allow you to pivot.
Please remember to bring your water bottle to keep hydrated.

We provide the space, the music, and some assistance if you need it. This is a casual and fun environment where you can practice at your own pace without fear of getting in the way. Bring your videos to help you remember or ask other people who took the same class and together you can recreate the pattern.

This is the perfect time for you to practice all those great lessons that you learned over the past 5 days with Michelle and Murat!
Yes, I know that you are tired, but if you don’t practice soon, believe me, you will procrastinate and then you will forget! Even if it is only for an hour or so, use this opportunity to practice M&M’s 5 segments of the dance: community, vocabulary, musicality, partnerships/relationships, and self-awareness.

For those of us who may not have a practice partner, there are things we can do, on our own, to make “our” dance better. In fact, sometimes it is better because we can fully focus on ourselves without the influence of the other person. So don't under estimate the importance of technique.
So come and join me on my warm-up/technique classes for intermediate and advanced levels followed by the practilonga.

February 22, PraXis change of plans

Once again I am at a loss! Due to work requirements, Hari will not be able to teach with me on Wednesday nights.

Sooo, until I get a new teaching partner, the classes will focus more on the things we should be doing, but don’t like to do! This is an excellent opportunity to get off the fast track and explore what we do so that we can really feel and see the improvement on the dance floor.

First Topic - Are you a Safe Driver?Do you tail gate? Have road rage? Do you weave in and out?

Come and find out what kind of a driver you are.

Hello Everyone,

Now that the dust has settled and Meng week is over, I would like to announce that Hari has agreed to continue the Wednesday night class and practica with me!

The next series: A closer look at basic techniques that will facilitate complex movements using nuevo elements in open and close embrace.

We are also planning on shaping the Wednesday nights a little differently so stay tuned!

Do not park in residential areas or too close to the corners, they will tow you! The north side of E8th Avenue on the same block as EDAM is residential parking, the sign is hard to see.
