Starting January 9, Meng and I will be teaching intermediate/advanced classes on Tango Salon vs Tango Nuevo
This is an excellent time to transition into a more relaxed and elastic feeling as you learn tango salon steps with a tango nuevo feel.

Wednesday nights - Dancing with D'Arienzo Jan 5- Feb 2

I am very happy to announce that Meng and I will be teaching an intermediate/advance class before the PraXis practica on Wednesdays.
We will be teaching how to dance to the most popular orchestras using the most popular steps, so this should be very danceable at the milongas. 5 classes in a series.
This series we will be Dancing to D'Arienzo.

7:30 - 8:45 $15 drop in or $60 for the series.
8:45 - 10:30 practica $5 (free for class attendees)

PraXis- 2011 new structure, new schedule

Hello everyone,
I am very excited to announce that as of January 5, 2011 there will be a formal lesson taught before the practica. And I am very happy to have Meng Wang, recently from LA, team up with me to teach these classes. He's a wonderful dancer and has many ideas for our classes. So I hope you can join us.
Just wanted to give you a heads up. The details will be announced very shortly.

Praxis - Wednesday night tango practica Dec 15

Wednesday nights at Edam Dance Studio - 303 East 8th Avenue, Buzz #02

7:30 - 8:30 Assisted practica ($10) Excellent for those new to the dance or for those who need a little help with their technique. You will be in a non-intimidating environment with guidance throughout the hour. If you have any questions bring them with you. You are invited to stay for the regular practica for free.

8:30 - 10:00 Regular practica ($5)
Large Dance space and music are provided for those who want to practice on their own.

Partners are not required. But when you are in class or at a milonga, why not ask someone if they would practice with you one Wednesday night.
Bring water to keep hydrated.

Sunday July 18 Granville Island OUtdoor Milonga

Venue: Covered Picnic area next to the Cat's Social Club Restaurant and Children's Water park on Granville Island.

Time: 5:00 to 8:00pm
Admission: Free
DJ Gravito

This is a casual and social dance so bring your friends and family to show them what this tango craze is all about.

-If the weather is inclement we will send out an email canceling it.
-The 3 hour parking limit is strictly enforced until 7pm.
-The floor is cement, so please do not wear your good dance shoes. Shoes that are slightly padded and that you can pivot in are good.
-Please be careful when leading or doing pivots and turns as we do not want any twisted knees. The floor closest to the restaurant is a bit rough.
-We are not allowed to have alcohol on site.
So bring your water or beverage of choice to help keep you hydrated.
-This is a free event hosted by Lucio and Wendy for your enjoyment so come down and the party!
